RHAPSODY IN BLUE '26
Rhapsody in Blue '26 is a youth choral production presented by the St. Cecilia’s Choir of St. Joseph’s College, Colombo 10. Set to take place on October 3, 2026, at the 1,288-seat Nelum Pokuna Mahinda Rajapaksa Theatre, the concert combines rich tradition with bold orchestral scale.
The performance features a 500-voice massed choir that unites choristers from St. Joseph’s College alongside guest ensembles from St. Peter’s College, St. Bridget’s Convent, Bishop’s College, and St. Benedict’s College. Backed by a 50-piece live symphony orchestra, the ensemble will present a repertoire spanning classical anthems, sacred music, and modern orchestral adaptations.
In addition to its artistic scope, the event serves a charitable purpose. All proceeds from the production will directly support student-led community outreach and social welfare initiatives.
